This time I have summarized the system Zero to Launch by Ramit Sethi for you.
It is an extensive system that has helped thousands of people build a successful online business, including the Slovenian Primož Božič, who was featured in several world media outlets such as Business Insider precisely because of his success.
Who is Ramit Sethi?
He is a person who has influenced at least half a million people. His methods have been featured on CNN, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, etc. Ramit also has his own blog called I Will Teach You To Be Rich.
He also helped the Slovenian Primož Božič, who was working at a tech company for approximately $7 per hour, then used Ramit’s system and started earning $400 per hour – which is why I decided to check out this system myself. Primož teaches people how to improve productivity and has his own English blog called Skyrocket Your Productivity. I personally spoke with Primož, who also helped in the creation of this article. Ramit has a quite different system than most other authors who teach about how to make money online. His biggest focus is on content, as it is precisely content that will help you generate income online.
Sethi recommends creating a system that will work for you – for example, if you only have 5 hours a day, dedicate 2 hours to creating content, 2 hours to promoting content (e.g. through forums), and 1 hour to strategy and planning.
How do you come up with a content idea? Think about what your friends say you are good at, and what you would do if you had 3 extra hours of free time every day.
To determine whether your content idea is any good according to Ramit’s system, use the demand matrix, where you have four options:
– Offer a high price and have few customers (e.g. focus on content that teaches how to improve customer satisfaction).
– Offer a low price and have many customers (e.g. content about how to save time).
– The worst option is to have a low price and few customers (e.g. teaching people to take better photographs).
– The best option according to Ramit is to have a high price and many customers (e.g. offering content about how to lose weight).
Research every new content idea online using:
– Amazon (customer reviews are important to you) – focus on ratings ranked between 2 and 4 and what customers write bothers them, and find at least 5 of the most-read books in that field and write down titles, subtitles, tables of contents, etc.
– Browse forums related to your topic and sites that offer answers to questions, e.g. Reddit or Quora.
– Use the Google Keyword Planner tool, which tells you the monthly search volume for a specific keyword on Google.
What do you need to know about the potential customers you will be offering content and products to?
– Who are they? Be as specific as possible (e.g. employed men who are too busy for dates and are not interested in meeting people in clubs).
– Where can you find them? (e.g. which Facebook groups do they belong to and which YouTube channels do they watch?)
– What are their difficulties and problems?
– What are their desires and ambitions?
– What are the obstacles in their path?
– Most importantly, what is bothering them and what questions keep coming up for them? (e.g. someone wants to know how to stop being shy)
What should your first content product be with which you can earn money online?
Ramit recommends starting with a short video course consisting of 4 to 8 video recordings on a topic of your choice – something you are good at. Each video recording should be between 10 to 20 minutes long. Why video courses specifically? They offer greater added value to customers than text, are faster to produce, and are easy to make. Later you can also offer, for example, longer video recordings, various consultations, or even create a paid event.
An important rule that Ramit uses when building a system through content: Give away 90 percent for free, and only sell the best 10% of your content.
3 steps for creating content and promoting it:
– Create top-quality content.
– Make a list of potential readers.
– Make a list of 5 websites where your readers hang out and take care of promotion.
Most authors say that the website itself is what matters, while Ramit says the website itself is not that important – what matters most is its content. In addition to content, it is important to collect emails, send an email for every blog post, and communicate with your customer base while also asking them questions.
Techniques for improving sales once you have created a product with content on your website:
– Add a countdown timer to your website that counts down how long the offer is still valid.
– Offer multiple different payment options (e.g., installment payments should be 20 to 25 percent more expensive than the basic offer).
– Sell something additional or more expensive to those who purchase your basic product (this is called an upsell).
– If they don’t purchase your product after the initial offer, send them an email and ask them why they didn’t buy it.
